Moderate Quakes Hit Alaska,Mexico, and Japan

Today has been an active day for mother nature so far. A 5.8 quake in Guerrero, Mexico. A 6.1 quake off the coast of Japan. And then there is Alaska. 5.4, 5.8, 5.4 and then a 5.9 all are around the peninsula. So far nothing major but these quakes are larger than normal and for Alaska to have 4 in such a concentrated area it is possible that these could be foreshocks to a larger quake.

Alaska has a history of very large earthquakes. March 27th, 1964 a 9.2 earthquake and it's resulting tsunamis were responsible for 131 deaths. The 1964 quake was the most powerful quake in United States history.

I will continue to keep an eye on this and keep this updated as new events happen.
